Taizhou Airport celebrated a significant achievement on Dec 28 as its annual passenger traffic exceeded 2 million, officially elevating it to the status of a medium-sized airport among its counterparts nationwide.

At 9:58 am, a passenger named Cai, traveling on flight CA1851 from Beijing to Taizhou in East China's Zhejiang province, became the 2 millionth passenger to pass through Taizhou Airport in 2023. The airport accomplished this feat in just five years, following surpassing the 1 million passenger mark in 2018.

To mark this momentous occasion, Taizhou Airport presented Cai with a special commemorative gift. Expressing her gratitude, Cai said, "I am deeply honored to be recognized as the 2 millionth passenger at Taizhou Airport. I wish Taizhou Airport continued success."
