MoldTecs, a subsidiary of the German private equity firm Mutares, recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Zhejiang Yinlun Machinery Co Ltd to strengthen their partnership and jointly explore opportunities in the European market for thermal management in new energy vehicles.

Yinlun, headquartered in Taizhou's Tiantai county, specializes in R&D, manufacturing, and sales of various heat exchangers. Founded in 1999 and publicly listed in 2007, Yinlun has maintained its position as the leading producer and seller of heat exchangers in China for two decades.

MoldTecs, on the other hand, focuses on the R&D, engineering design, and production of high-performance plastic parts. As a subsidiary of Mutares, MoldTecs has its headquarters in France and operates four factories in Germany and France. Its Suzhou-based factory in China has already commenced production.

Zhu Ran, general manager of Mutares China, said that MoldTecs possesses a well-established supply chain system and maintains strong relationships with major OEM customers. By collaborating with Yinlun, the two companies aim to create a synergy where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Huang Xiaowei, operational partner of Mutares China, expressed admiration for the support demonstrated by the local government in Taizhou for private enterprises, as well as the complete automotive industry chain in the region. He also acknowledged the challenges that Chinese companies face when seeking to expand globally with minimal risk, cost, and fixed asset investments. The partnership between MoldTecs and Yinlun serves as an exemplary model of China-Europe cooperation, addressing these challenges effectively.
