Nearly 200 mountaineers from South Korea traveled to the Shenxianju Scenic Area in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, on Nov 26 to take part in a mountaineering event.

The opening ceremony featured a tapestry of Chinese martial arts, tai chi, and a Korean traditional dance, offering up a memorable experience that set the tone for the festive atmosphere throughout the venue.

The mountaineering event had been held every year between 2014 and 2020 and holds a special place in the hearts of mountaineers from both China and South Korea. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was postponed for the past two years, making its resumption this year exciting for Chinese and South Korean participants who had eagerly awaited its return.

"This is my fourth time coming to Shenxianju, and it never fails to leave a lasting impression on me. The breathtaking scenery combined with the warm hospitality of the locals makes it an unmatched destination. I always recommend this place to my friends, and with every visit, I bring more people along. I genuinely hope that this event can continue for many years to come," said a renowned South Korean travel expert.

Shenxianju, which translates to "Dwelling for Immortals" in Chinese, is renowned for its pristine ecological environment and distinctive geological structures.
