XGM Co Ltd, an auto parts manufacturer based in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, has been listed as a 2023 5G factory by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. This is a significant achievement, as XGM is the only company from Taizhou to be included on the list.

The 5G factory, developed by the Sanmen branch of China Mobile, has completely transformed XGM's production and management processes by integrating 5G industrial network, 5G industrial internet platforms, and cutting-edge 5G applications. Through the establishment of an advanced factory that prioritizes seamless connectivity, data utilization, and innovative applications, XGM is strengthening its position in the industry.

The project primarily focuses on XGM's industrial internet platform for automotive shock absorbers. Utilizing the power of the 5G network, the project seamlessly connects research and development, production and manufacturing, operational management, and supply chain services. Such integration allows for efficient collaboration and information exchange between the smart factory and its partners.

Looking ahead, XGM has plans to invest 200 million yuan ($28 million) into the development of the 5G factory. This investment will significantly enhance XGM's core competitiveness and improve operational efficiency through the transformative power of digitalization.

Established in 1998, XGM specializes in the design, research and development, production, and sales of automotive shock absorbers and electronically-controlled suspension systems.
