Two campsites in Taizhou have recently received provincial recognition as two of the top 10 campsites in Zhejiang province in 2023. The announcement was made during the 12th Zhejiang Sports and Leisure Tourism Festival.
One of the honored campsites is Castle in the Sky, which shares its name with a famous Japanese animation. Located atop Huangmao Mountain in Huangyan district, the campsite spans over 1,000 mu (66.67 hectares) and reaches an elevation of over 700 meters. From May to October each year, the evaporating water from the Changtan Reservoir creates a breathtaking sea of clouds that envelops the mountain halfway up, earning the site the name "Castle in the Sky".
Castle in the Sky offers a range of accommodation options, with 34 different types of rooms and over 200 tents. Visitors staying overnight are treated to awe-inspiring views, including a morning sea of clouds, blooming flowers during the day, a radiant evening atmosphere, and a pristine starlit sky. Every photo taken at this campsite is simply jaw-dropping.
The other recognized campsite is Shenxianju New Gonow RV Campsite, located within the national 5A Shenxianju Scenic Area. This campsite provides top-tier amenities that cater to the desires of RV camping enthusiasts. Additionally, it offers a variety of entertainment options, such as jungle crossing and rock climbing, which have gained immense popularity. This campsite's commitment to creating memorable experiences for visitors exemplifies its success in the "sports + leisure" industry.
