The 2023 Tsaigu Trail, a renowned trail running event in China, is scheduled to be held in the county-level of Linhai, Taizhou, in Zhejiang province from Oct 28 to 29.

The starting point of the race will be at the ancient city of Taizhou Cultural Scenic Area, and the route will pass through Kuocang Mountain, which is the highest peak in eastern Zhejiang. The event will include four categories, with distances of 115km, 85km, 55km, and 26km.

This year, the race is being organized by the Mountaineering Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sports, which adds to its prestige. Notably, the number of participants has reached an all-time high, with 4,500 registered individuals, including a record number of elite athletes.

Originally a local event in Linhai, the Tsaigu Trail has grown into one of China's largest, most professional, and influential trail races. Since its establishment in 2015, the event has successfully hosted seven editions, attracting nearly 18,000 participants from 32 countries across four continents. Its remarkable achievements have been recognized through various accolades, including being named a national sports industry demonstration project, a distinguished sports tourism project in China, one of the top ten commercial sports events in Zhejiang province, and the most promising event for the province's development.

In addition to the race itself, Linhai has carefully planned a series of concurrent activities to enhance the overall experience. One notable event is the 10th China (Linhai) Outdoor Furniture and Courtyard Leisure Products Exhibition.
