A Taizhou village has secured a place on the 2023 list of beautiful Chinese leisure villages, making it the sole village in the city to receive this prestigious recognition.

Located in Baita town, Taizhou's Xianju county, Shangye village stands out for its flourishing agritourism industry. Over the past two years, the village has witnessed the emergence of more than 30 homestays and leisure agriculture facilities, catering to the ever-increasing number of visitors flocking to the nearby national 5A scenic spot, Shenxianju.
