Three intangible cultural heritage items from Taizhou in Zhejiang province are currently on display at a cultural exhibition in the Asian Games Village in Hangzhou.

One of the showcased cultural items is Yigengteng, a traditional woodworking skill that originated in the late Ming (1368-1644) and early Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. This craftsmanship is unique to the folk culture of Tiantai county in Taizhou. Yigengteng uses wooden bars of different lengths connected by mortise and tenon joints, creating intricate patterns that resemble wild vines in the mountains. These patterns symbolize the continuity of generations and the idea of harmony.

A journalist from Mongolian Television praised the meaning found within the artworks and remarked on China's rich cultural heritage. The journalist highlighted the excellence of the works and the high level of creativity involved in their creation.

Apart from Yigengteng, two other intangible cultural items from Taizhou, namely Taizhou embroidery and Xianju boneless lanterns, have attracted numerous visitors from both home and abroad.
