Taizhou in East China's Zhejiang province stole the spotlight at the 2023 Frankfurt Chinafest in France from Sept 8 to 10. The city impressed attendees with its diverse cultural programs and delectable food offerings.

Taizhou, as one of the invited cities from China, sent teams specializing in traditional Chinese opera, folk music, and cuisine to participate in the event. The teams demonstrated Taizhou's unique storytelling through traditional opera performances, captivating the audience with the enchanting melodies of traditional musical instruments.

In addition, visitors had the opportunity to savor the exquisite cuisine of Taizhou at various booths set up at the venue. Local delicacies such as sweet rice cake, peach juice, grass jelly, and marinated shrimp were exceptionally popular, with all 800 portions selling out on the first day.

The festival also featured a photography exhibition showcasing the breathtaking landscapes of Taizhou, along with an exhibition highlighting the city's innovative products and successful businesses. Videos showcasing Taizhou's cultural and tourism attractions were also screened, providing a comprehensive introduction to the city's offerings.
