The 2023 Taizhou Civic Art Festival concluded in the city in East China's Zhejiang province on the evening of Aug 21 after two months of festivities.

The grand finale, a symphony concert by the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra held at the Jiaojiang Cultural and Arts Center ended the event on a high note.

Over the course of 60 days, the festival featured 21 dramas, 28 performances by renowned artists, 29 salons with distinguished guests, 560 open-air film screenings, and 642 grassland music concerts. A staggering 600,000 people participated in various cultural activities. The festival's dedicated column on Wangchao, a local news app, gained over 3 million views.

The festival's organizing committee also distributed a set of questionnaires to participants, one of which included a multiple-choice question asking what performances they would like to see if the festival continues next year. According to the feedback received, concerts, music festivals, and dramas were the top three choices.
