Shiliang town in Taizhou's Tiantai county hosted a festival showcasing the fusion of tourism and leisure sports from Aug 14 to 15. The event attracted over 200 outdoor leisure enthusiasts from across the country.

Situated in the northern part of Tiantai Mountain, Shiliang benefits from an average temperature of 26 degrees C, which is typically 5 to 7 degrees cooler than the mountain's base. This temperature differential makes Shiliang an ideal destination to escape the scorching summer heat.

One of the major attractions in Shiliang is the Tiantai Mountain Snow Park, which opened its doors in 2021. The park spans 79.4 mu (5.29 hectares) and boasts an indoor area where the temperature is maintained at a chilly -3 degrees C year-round. It is the sole indoor ski resort in East China offering ice and snow entertainment.

Wu Xiongyi, marketing manager of Tiantai Mountain Snow Park, revealed that the park's daily visitor count has consistently exceeded 200 people, with numbers potentially doubling on weekends. The guests hail not only from Tiantai itself but also from nearby cities such as Hangzhou and Shanghai. Moreover, the park has gained popularity among families seeking a memorable vacation.

During the festival, Pan Qiqi, a festival participant, expressed her satisfaction with the attractions Shiliang has to offer. "Here, we can enjoy barbecue, live music, and, most importantly, the nearby snow park. Skiing and basking in the cool weather is truly a highlight," she raved.
