Construction on the Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-speed Railway recently reached a major milestone with the commencement of track laying.
The high-speed railway is expected to reduce the travel time between Hangzhou and Wenzhou to approximately one hour. This development not only brings convenience to travelers but also heralds the arrival of the high-speed rail era in Xianju.
The construction of the Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-speed Railway is being carried out in two phases. The first phase will connect Yiwu with Wenzhou, while the second phase will connect Yiwu with Hangzhou.
Spanning a distance of 218.61 kilometers, the Yiwu-Wenzhou section of the railway, which is scheduled to open to traffic later this year, will have a designed speed of 350 km/h and will feature seven stops, including Yiwu, Dongyang, Pan'an, Xianju, Nanxijiang, Yongjia, and Wenzhou.
