A total of 23 exquisite dishes, featuring blue crabs as the main or supporting ingredient, were showcased at a culinary contest held on July 6 in Sanmen county, Taizhou.

The dishes, crafted by skilled chefs from seven esteemed local restaurants, delighted visitors with their impeccable appearance, tantalizing aromas, delightful flavors, and stunning presentations.

During the event, a map highlighting the best spots to savor the delectable local cuisine was also unveiled. Sanmen has earned nationwide recognition for its expertise in breeding small seafood, particularly blue crabs.

Ding Mingbiao, general manager of Sanmen Juyuan Crab Development Co Ltd, expressed his astonishment at the diverse range of cooking styles demonstrated for the crabs, despite his own extensive experience in crab farming spanning over three decades.

"Impressive indeed! The steamed and braised crabs, when prepared using different techniques, each deliver a magnificent flavor," Ding remarked with delight.

He firmly believes that hosting such an event not only satiates people's taste buds, but also elevates the brand value of Sanmen blue crabs to new heights.
