Taizhou in East China's Zhejiang province is set to receive support in boosting innovation, according to local media reports.
The city, along with 38 other cities, has been selected to be part of a national program aimed at building a group of national innovation-driven demonstration cities, running from 2023 to 2025, according to a notice recently announced by the China Association for Science and Technology.
In 2022 alone, Taizhou successfully hosted a total of 19 national seminars and innovation exchange activities.
Over the years, the city has collaborated with over 50 national and provincial-level academic societies, enlisting the guidance and research services of over 800 academicians and experts.
Additionally, the local government is endeavoring to attract talented engineers to Taizhou. In March, the city was chosen as a pilot area for cultivating engineers with international recognition.
