Taizhou set to celebrate China Tourism Day

Taizhou, a city in Eastern Zhejiang province, held a press conference to promote various tourism activities on May 18 in celebration of the 13th China Tourism Day on May 19.

The event highly consisted of an event called "China Tourism Day, First Tour to Tiantai Mountain", which included a diverse array of activities, such as a poetry and prose competition, a photography exhibition, and a cultural salon. A launch ceremony for the protection and utilization regulations on the Tang dynasty (618-907) poetry resources in Taizhou was also held on the day.

To stimulate the culture and tourism industries, the city launched a consumption activity on May 13, including the issuance of coupons for culture and tourism purchases and various performances and market fairs.

The digital application of the "Eastern Zhejiang Tang Poetry Road" was also launched on May 19. It launched a series of study tours to enrich students' options for after-school activities.

In addition, on China Tourism Day, local citizens could take free tours of 24 local scenic spots, including Yuhuan Xuanmen Bay Wetland Park, Shenxianju, and Pantan Ancient Town. Tourists from other cities could also visit some of these places at half-price.
