Linhai, a county-level city in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province will offer Hangzhou citizens with valid ID cards free admission to the Ancient City of Taizhou Cultural Scenic Area from Sept 15-Oct 15 in a show of appreciation for their contributions to the Asian Games.

In addition, Hangzhou tourists with valid ID cards can enjoy discounts at hotels like Yingchunli Homestay and Yuehu Hotel during the period.

The Ancient City of Taizhou Cultural Scenic Area was first built in the Jin Dynasty (1115-1234) and is a national 5A-level tourist attraction. The 3.12-square-kilometer area is home to several famous scenic spots, including the City Wall of the Ancient City of Taizhou and Ziyang Street.

The City Wall of the Ancient City is the largest and best-preserved ancient coastal defense structure in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It is also a national-level cultural relic.

In addition, Linhai is home to 141 snacks such as seaweed cakes and Danqing Yangwei, a specialty pastry made with egg whites and sweetened bean paste.
