A government delegation headed by Li Yueqi, Party chief of Taizhou, visited the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, from April 16 to 18, following trips to Japan and Singapore.

While addressing the Taizhou–Hong Kong Investment Cooperation Promotion Conference on April 17, Li pointed out Taizhou has longstanding ties with Hong Kong, and that two cities have achieved fruitful results in economy, trade, tourism, and talent exchanges in recent years.

Taizhou, he added, has been pushing ahead with the development of its private economy and building a law-based and market-oriented business climate that is in line with international standards.

Li expressed hope that more Hong Kong companies will come to Taizhou to expand cooperative ties.

During his stay in the city, Li also visited several enterprises like Shuion Group and attended a meeting with businesspeople of Taizhou origin.
