Four products developed by companies in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province, recently won Canton Fair Design Innovation Awards, or CF Awards.

The award ceremony is a flagship event of the ongoing 133rd China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province.

The organizing committee has created awards for seven categories of products including electrical appliances, building materials, hardware tools, transportation machinery, textiles and clothing. Each category has gold, silver and bronze winners.

According to a head official at the Taizhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the CF Awards, which are like the Oscars of China's export product design field, are highly esteemed by foreign merchants.

This year, four products from Taizhou took home bronze awards.

The Canton Fair, the country's largest and oldest comprehensive trade event, has resumed all physical exhibitions this year after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

A total of 730 companies from Taizhou are attending the event, which is slated to run until May 5, and showcasing nearly 10,000 kinds of products manufactured in the city.
