A water-sprinkling festival was held in Xianju county, Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province on April 12, leaving its participants wet but happy.

During the festival, local people dressed up and splashed water on each other as a way of praying for good fortune and expressing their well wishes.

The festival also celebrates the New Year for the Dai ethnic group.
