Here are some of the best off-the-beaten-track locations in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province that tea lovers can consider traveling to.

Huading

Huading is the main peak of Tiantai Mountain. Shrouded by mists all year around due to its high altitude, Huading is renowned for its Yunwu tea. The plantation has a few tea trees that date back 1,700 years.

Yangyan Mountain

Located at an altitude of 786 meters, Yangyan Mountain in the county-level city of Linhai got its name because the shadow of a rock on its peak resembles a sheep. It is famed for its production of Yangyan Gouqing, a renowned tea brand in China.

Shifeng Mountain

Located in Yuhuan, a county-level city in Taizhou, Shifeng Mountain, which was formed five million years ago, is the most complete volcanic site in East China. Situated near the site is a volcanic tea garden.

Anji Mountain

There is a sprawling tea garden on Anji Mountain in Baishuiyang town, Linhai where visitors can choose from a host of entertainment options and catch a panoramic view of the mountain. Tea planting on the mountain started as early as the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279).
