Wangjiangmen Bridge in Linhai, a county-level city in Taizhou, reopened to traffic on April 4 after a renovation which lasted more than six months and cost about 65 million yuan ($9.45 million).

Built in 1990, the bridge is a main traffic channel connecting Taizhou's urban area with the western part of Linhai.

In September 2022, the local government launched a campaign to renovate the bridge.

The upgraded bridge now has steel beams and plates and a vertical clearance of up to six meters.

The renovations have also significantly improved the bridge's flood discharge capacity, navigation capacity and load standard.
