Yuhuan recognized nationally for business climate

Yuhuan, a county-level city in Taizhou, was listed among the 42 county-level areas with congenial business climates in China in 2022, according to a report released by the China Media Group.

Yuhuan has in recent years made concerted efforts to improve the ease of doing business by streamlining administrative service procedures.

In 2022, the city was ranked second among county-level areas in Zhejiang in terms of business climate and was placed ninth nationwide in terms of investment potential.

The local government also slashed taxes and fees valued at 1.44 billion yuan ($209.28 million) for companies and disbursed 580 million yuan worth of rewards and subsidies promised to them.

In addition, Yuhuan has inked agreements with 34 cities in eight provinces regarding cross-provincial handling of 496 government affairs services. More than 98 percent of service items related to tax in the city can now be handled online.

Sustained efforts have also been made to facilitate talent recruitment and cultivation. The city is the first place in Zhejiang to roll out a policy tailored to talents in the service sector. It has also launched a bevy of events to cultivate skilled workers.

In 2022, Yuhuan reported an increase of over 20 provincial level talents and six master craftsmen.
