2 Taizhou entrepreneurs listed among top 100 businesswomen in China

Two businesswomen from Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province made the 2022 list of the top 100 businesswomen in China unveiled by Forbes China on March 7, a day before International Women's Day.

The Forbes list, which is in its ninth edition this year, ranks female leaders based on their companies' business performance, market size and areas of innovation.

The combined market value of the companies managed by the top 100 businesswomen has reached 5.5 trillion yuan ($790.23 billion).

The average age of the women on the list is 51. More than 60 percent have a master's degree and above (including MBA), while a quarter have studied abroad, and nearly 25 percent are involved in biomedicine and big health sectors.

The two businesswomen from Taizhou are Hua Lirong, president of Zhejiang Jiuzhou Pharmaceutical Co Ltd (33rd), and Wang Yingmei, president of Zhejiang Yongtai Technology Co Ltd (63rd).

Jiuzhou Pharmaceutical specializes in the research and development, production, and sale of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).

Yongtai Tech is a national high-tech enterprise specializing in the R&D, production and sales of fluorine chemicals, which are mainly used in the medicine, pesticides and new energy materials sectors.
