Seventy-four companies from Taizhou are attending the 2022 Zhejiang Agricultural Fair, which opened in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province on Jan 9.

More than 16,000 agricultural companies from across the country have brought over 13,000 products to the fair, which will run until Jan 12.

An array of agricultural products sold under a Taizhou public agricultural brand known as Taijiuxian, including tea, watermelons, blue crabs, yellow croakers, has attracted huge attention at the event.

"Taijiu" is pronounced the same as "Taizhou" in the local dialect, while "xian" means "fresh" in Chinese. "Jiu", meaning "nine" in Chinese, refers to the large variety of products offered by the company.

Thirty-four products from Taizhou also took home awards at the event's awards ceremony - 31 won the gold award while the other three won gold in the new product category.
