Taizhou hosts cultural activities in celebration of Spring Festival

Authorities in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province will hold a series of cultural activities to celebrate the upcoming Lunar New Year and Lantern Festival.
The activities will include lantern parades, exhibitions, art performances and online events, according to the authorities.
The lantern parades, which include elements related to the Year of the Rabbit and the city's folk customs, will be held at Tiantai county's museum from Jan 1 to Feb 5.
A series of exhibitions will be held in the city's public cultural venues. Fifty-eight paintings created by renowned artist Xu Beihong are being displayed at the Taizhou Museum, while 91 artworks depicting the city's natural landscapes and cultural customs will be showcased at the Taizhou Art Gallery from Jan 13.
Folk art performances, which will provide immersive experience to residents, will be staged at some of the city's public cultural venues during the Spring Festival.
In addition, the city's library and museum will host online events such as exhibitions, performances and reading activities from Jan 19. More details can be found on their official websites and WeChat accounts.
