5 Taizhou places among China's top 100 lists

Two county-level cities - Yuhuan and Wenling - from Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province, made the 2022 list of the top 100 counties (county-level cities) in China in terms of comprehensive strength, according to a recent report.

The report, which was released by Economic Daily, evaluated 2,634 small and medium-sized cities in China based on a comprehensive analysis of economic data in 2021.

This year, Yuhuan and Wenling were ranked 31st and 34th on the list respectively, the same as the previous year.

Data shows that Yuhuan's gross domestic product amounted to 71.14 billion yuan ($10.16 billion) in 2021, an uptick of 6.7 percent year-on-year.

Yuhuan also made the list of top 100 counties in terms of green development, investment potential, technological innovation and urbanization quality.

In addition, Taizhou's three districts – Luqiao, Huangyan and Jiaojiang – were listed among the top 100 Chinese districts in terms of comprehensive strength in 2022, coming in 55th, 65th and 71st respectively.
