Haili village earns national recognition

Haili village in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province, made the 2022 list of beautiful Chinese leisure villages, making it the only village in the city to win such an honor this year.

Located in Shitang town, Wenling, a county-level city in Taizhou, Haili made the list due to its robust agritainment development.

Shitang town is surrounded by the sea on three sides, giving it the name "Cape of Good Hope on the coast of the East China Sea".

To take advantage of booming tourism in the town in recent years, Haili has developed a large number of homestays to accommodate the influx of visitors, with some being rated among the best in Zhejiang.

Data show that homestays in Haili can generate an annual collective income of 450,000 yuan ($64,285), and the parking lot in the village can generate an extra annual collective income of 500,000 yuan.

Haili has also been listed among the most beautiful fishing villages in China.
