505 Taizhou enterprises to attend fifth CIIE

A delegation of 505 enterprises from Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province will be attending the fifth China International Import Expo, which will be held in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10.

Zhejiang China-Africa International Trade Port Service Co Ltd, a leading foreign trade company from Taizhou, inked a paper pulp procurement deal worth $30 million with Sinar Mas Group from Indonesia at the fourth CIIE.

This year, the two parties are expected to reach a procurement deal for pulp valued at $35 million as well as consumer goods including wine, at the expo, according to Xie Liqing, general manager of Zhejiang China-Africa International Trade Port Service Co Ltd.

In addition, many Taizhou enterprises have invited their overseas partners to participate in the exhibition. For instance, Geely has invited Volvo, while Crystal Optoelectronics has invited Germany's Schott AG.

The city will be launching a series of events, including the Taizhou - Shanghai Multinational Enterprise Investment Exchange Conference, on the sidelines of the six-day event.
