Zhuo Hai Jun 8, the largest dredger in Asia by mud volume dredged per hour, was launched in Sanmen county, Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province on July 17, local media reported.

Measuring 135.5 meters in length, 26.2 meters in width and 10 meters in depth, the ship is capable of dredging 12,000 cubic meters of mud per hour. The machine can also carry up to 15,000 metric tons of mud.

Built by Zhejiang Xinzhou Shipbuilding Co Ltd, the 210-million-yuan ($32.3 million) ship will be delivered to Guangdong Zhuohai Engineering Construction Co Ltd in the coming days.

Founded in August 2014, Zhejiang Xinzhou Shipbuilding Co Ltd is located in Jiantiao town, Sanmen county.
