Twenty-six expats recently embarked on a two-day tour of Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province to learn about the city's common prosperity efforts.

The delegation visited places including the Taizhou "City Brain" operation center, Fanglin village, as well as scenic spots including Shitang Island and Changyu Dongtian.

One of the participants was Luo Bo (Chinese name), general manager of Zhejiang HEC Machinery Co Ltd. Having lived in Taizhou for seven years, the Dutch said that he had been impressed by the city's digital transformation and the technological advances represented by the "City Brain" operation center.

Another participant was Zhou Sentai (Chinese name), a Malaysian who married a Taizhou resident. Zhou said that Fanglin's transformation from a backward village to a renowned automobile trading market in East China is a testament to Taizhou's robust development.

Na Ji (Chinese name), an Indian who works as a yoga teacher in Taizhou, said that Shitang Island's landscape had left a deep impression on him, and that he plans to bring his family to the island in the future.

Peter from the Netherlands hailed Changyu Dongtian as a fairyland. "It reminds me of my trip to Italy, where there are caves like this, and the cave sounds here are very relaxing," he said.

Changyu Dongtian, located in the southeast of Wenling, a county-level city in Taizhou, is a 16.18-square-meter mineral cave left due to the stone exploration 1,500 years ago.
