Two tourism resorts from Taizhou in East China's Zhejiang province were recently included in a provincial tourism campaign titled "Zao Yue".

The campaign is designed to boost tourism development in 26 mountainous counties across the province, with the goal of making each of them have a national 5A scenic spot or a national tourism resort, or a place shortlisted as a national 5A scenic spot or a national tourism resort.

Through the campaign, Zhejiang aims to grow the value of its tourism output by at least 5 percent annually over the coming three to five years.

The Shenxianju Tourism Resort and Shepan Island Tourism Resort from Taizhou have been included in the program.

Located in Taizhou's Xianju county, Shenxainju Tourism Resort is a provincial tourism resort established in 2003. As its name suggests, it is home to Shenxianju, a national 5A scenic spot featuring an intact ecological environment and geologic structure.

Meanwhile, Shepan Island, which is located in Sanmen county, has been designated a a national 4A scenic spot. Shepan is the largest island in Taizhou and is dubbed the "Island of a Thousand Caves" as there are a myriad of caves on the island.
