The Taizhou branch of Zhongshuge, a chain bookstore, was recently opened, according to local media reports.

Located in Tengda Center in Jiaojiang district, the bookstore's design was inspired by local landmarks including Tiantai Mountain and the Ruyi Bridge in the Shenxianju Scenic Spot.

The Taizhou outlet has a collection of nearly 30,000 books about literature, philosophy, economics, history, geography and social sciences. The store said it would hold activities such as cultural salons and new book releases regularly.

The bookstore has become an instant hit among locals after its opening. It currently welcomes up to 1,000 visitors in half a day.

Founded in 2013, Zhongshuge has 25 outlets in Chinese cities including Shanghai, Hangzhou and Yangzhou.

Dayin Bookmall, a renowned bookstore chain based in Shanghai, also set up a branch in Taizhou recently.
