Four places from Taizhou in East China's Zhejiang province were recently included in the provincial "common prosperity" campaign.
They were listed as the first group of "basic elements" in Zhejiang to achieve modernization and common prosperity. The basic elements include "future communities", "future villages" and demonstration areas for urban-rural landscapes.
The Chenghuangpu residential community in Taizhou's Jiaojiang district is included in the "future community" program, which is expected to benefit over 3,700 residents.
A 20.4-hectare area in the community has been designated as a pilot zone featuring the application of technologies in sectors including elderly care, catering and medical services.
In addition, Haili village in the county-level city of Wenling and Houan village in Tiantai county are included in the "future village" program.
Both villages have been hailed as models for rural tourism development.
Due to its unspoiled nature, Houan has witnessed significant growth in its tourism industry in recent years and has been designated a national 4A scenic spot.
Lastly, the area comprising Baitai town and Danzhu town in Xianju county has been designated a demonstration area for urban-rural landscapes.
