A tourism resort town themed on the Chinese cartoon series Boonie Bears is currently under construction in Linhai, a county-level city in Taizhou.

According to a notice on the project released by the local government, the resort's cinema and customer service center have been capped.

With an investment of 1.4 billion yuan ($215.38 million), the resort will cover an area of about 250 mu (16.67 hectares).  Scheduled to open to visitors in May 2023, the venue will be the first cartoon-themed resort in China.

Boonie Bears is a popular Chinese cartoon series shown on multiple Chinese websites and television stations. The series features two bears, Briar and Bramble, who try to stop Logger Vick from destroying their forest home.
