Three scenic spots from Taizhou in East China's Zhejiang province were recently included in a provincial tourism campaign titled "Shining Pearls".

Sixty scenic spots across Zhejiang will be included in campaign and given priority in development so as to turn them into the so-called "shinning pearls" by 2022, according to a plan released by the provincial government.

Through the campaign, the province aims to increase the added value of the tourism sector to 580 billion yuan ($89.23 billion) and attract 860 million visitors, including five million visitors from overseas, this year.

The scenic spots from Taizhou that have been included in the campaign are the Ancient City of Taizhou Cultural Scenic Area, Shenxianju Scenic Spot and Xianju Shenxian Oxygen Bar Town.

The Ancient City of Taizhou Cultural Scenic Area, located in the county-level city of Taizhou, covers a total area of 3.12 square kilometers and consists of scenic attractions including the City Wall of the Ancient City of Taizhou and Ziyang Street.

Shenxianju Scenic Spot is a popular tourist attraction that received a 5A rating – China's top classification for scenic spots – in 2015. It features an intact ecological environment and geologic structure.
