Non-local employees in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province will be able to apply for free or 70 percent discounted admission tickets to 41 scenic spots across the city if they opt to stay in the city during the Spring Festival holiday, local authorities recently announced.

The applicants must be non-local employees who pay social security in Taizhou.

Identity cards and documents showing their social security payments in the city will be required when they purchase the tickets.

An individual can only apply for one discounted ticket at the same scenic attraction in a day. Tickets are not transferable.

The validity of the preferential policy lasts from Jan 8 to Feb 18.

Among the 41 scenic areas are Tiantai Mountain Guoqing Scenic Spot and Shenxianju Scenic Spot, two national 5A scenic attractions in the city.

Taizhou recently rolled out a string of preferential policies to encourage employees to stay put for the Spring Festival holiday in an effort to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 and to stabilize local production capacity.

Incentives, including subsidies and free tickets to local scenic spots, are being offered to encourage them to stay in the city.
