Taizhou village designated national model for leisure tourism

Yanxiapan village from Sanmen county, Taizhou recently made the 2021 list of national model villages for leisure tourism development.

In addition, three villages - Shanli village, Hou'an village and Gaoqian village - that won the honor from 2010 to 2017 also passed their re-evaluations by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

Yanxiapan village

Located a 30-min drive from the urban area of Sanmen county, Yanxiapan village has seen robust growth in its rural tourism and has emerged as a hot spot for visitors to admire idyllic views of nature and enjoy activities such as barbecuing, fishing and rafting.

Shanli village

A remote village located in the northwestern Longxi town, Yuhuan, Shanli is a great place to get away with the hustle and bustle of urban life.

Hou'an village

Surrounded by mountains on three sides, Hou'an village is situated in Toujie town, Tiantai county. The village has won numerous laurels for tourism development including being listed as a national 4A scenic spot.

Gaoqian village

Situated in Baita town, Xianju county, Gaoqian village has a history of over 100 years. It has been included in the provincial program for the protection and utilization of historical and cultural villages.

The village has 13 ancient houses that look like the Hall of Supreme Harmony from the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911). Elements such as small bridges, bodies of water, ancient walls, and alleys give visitors a feeling of peace and serenity.
