A delegation led by Li Yueqi, Party chief of Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province, visited Garze Tibetan autonomous prefecture in Southwest China's Sichuan province and Fuling district in Chongqing municipality from June 17 to 20.

Taizhou has been paired with the two places under the east-west cooperation program launched by the central government, which sees more prosperous provinces and municipalities in East China lend support to underdeveloped regions in the country.

During the visit, Li pledged that the city will ramp up its support to the two cities and emphasize rural revitalization in the process with the ultimate goal of achieving common prosperity.

Xiao Youcai, deputy Party chief of Garze, said that they will learn from Taizhou's good experiences and practices in promoting high-quality development and continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two places to reach mutually beneficial results.

For Fuling's part, Wang Zhijie, Party secretary of the district, noted that Fuling has great development potential due to its strategic location in Chongqing.

He added that he hoped that the district and Taizhou would further exchanges and cooperation in scientific and technological innovations, industrial collaborations, as well as talent exchanges.
