Linhai a place tourists shouldn't miss

With a history of more than 1,300 years, Linhai, a county-level city in Taizhou, is among the must-visit places for visitors travelling to East China's Zhejiang province. 

Home to 141 registered characteristic snacks, Linhai is naturally appealing to foodies.

Renowned snacks like Cuiyuan, a steamed bun filled with ingredients like lean pork, dried bean curd, shrimps, and fresh bamboo shoots, Jiangzhi Hetao Tiaodan, which is made with shredded eggs and walnuts mixed with ginger juice, as well as Danqing Yangwei, a specialty pastry made with egg whites and sweetened bean paste, are all worth trying.

On top of snacks, there are several wonderful places in Linhai recommended for visitors. One such example is Wukeng Peaks.

Said to have formed due to a volcano eruption, Wuken Peaks has been dubbed as a small version of Yandang Mountain because of its widely distributed peaks and bizarrely shaped caves.

Famous for its magnificent peaks, waterfalls, and caves, Yandang Mountain in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province was honored as a World Geopark by UNESCO in 2005.

Slumbering 2.5 kilometers north of Wukeng Peaks, Taozhu Ancient City, whose history can be traced back to the Ming Dynasty, is also a place that visitors shouldn't miss.
