Taizhou village designated provincial forest convalescent home

Situated in Hengdu town, Sanmen county, Taizhou, Yanxiapan village was recently listed among Zhejiang provincial forest convalescent homes.

A total of 14 places from across the province made the list.

Those listed as provincial forest convalescent homes should have a forest coverage rate of no less than 70 percent and have a rate of over 90 percent in terms of days with good air quality in a year.

In addition, the concentration of negative oxygen ions in its core area should reach 2,000 per cubic centimeter.

Provincial forest convalescent homes are also required to meet certain requirements in acoustic environment, surface water quality, and reception facilities.

Forests in Yanxiapan village span 331 hectares, with the forest coverage rate exceeding 93 percent. The concentration of negative oxygen ions in the village stands at about 20,000 per cubic centimeter.
