The 16th Yangtze River Delta National Orchestra Performance came to an end on Dec 7 in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province, according to local media reports.

A total of 126 teams, units, and individuals from home and abroad won recognition for their mastery of traditional Chinese musical instruments.

Since its inception in 2004, the event has become influential around the nation and has helped promote traditional Chinese music. Taizhou hosted the event for the first time this year in an attempt to further promote cultural integration in the Yangtze River Delta.

Next time, the event will be held in Mengcheng county in Anhui province.
