Taizhou Museum is a prefecture-level museum built over an area of 12,500 square meters.
The museum has four floors showcasing more than 2,500 collection pieces in a total exhibition area of 60,000 square meters, including bronze ware, ceramics, portraits, stone carving, and woodcarving.
The first floor serves as a temporary exhibition hall for special exhibitions from China and abroad; the second floor exhibits cultural relics exploring the history and culture in Taizhou; the third floor showcases local folk customs and intangible cultural heritage items; and the fourth floor consists of many small exhibition rooms for private collections.
A stamp belonging to a general from Taizhou of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom (1851-1864) is the most precious treasure of the museum. It offers physical evidence of the activities of the Taiping Army in Taizhou.
