Wu Haiping, mayor of Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province, met with Liu Fengxi, vice-general manager of Overseas Chinese Town Holdings Co (OCT Group) and Party secretary of KONKA Group Co Ltd, on July 2, Jiaxing Daily reported.

Wu said that Taizhou has great tourist attractions, a solid foundation for a manufacturing industry, and a prosperous private sector. The city has a lot of cooperation potential with OCT Group and KONKA.

He expressed hope that the various parties would further enhance communication and cooperation in relevant fields.

Liu briefed Wu on the current situations of OCT Group and KONKA.

OCT Group is a large central government-owned enterprise managed by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, while its subsidiary KONKA is dedicated to developing and manufacturing home appliances and electronics and generated 61 billion yuan ($8.68 billion) in output last year.

He noted that Taizhou has a strong development foundation and a lot of potential and hoped to contribute to local development by making full use of the city's technology and professionals.
