Taizhou is helping its sister cities across the world battle the novel coronavirus as the epidemic subsidies throughout the city.

Earlier this month, the city sent its first batch of medical supplies, including 50,000 face masks, to the cities of Naju and Donghae-Si in South Korea and Tsuruga in Japan.

So far, Taizhou and its counties have donated a total of 78,000 masks to sister cities in the two Asian countries.

Taizhou also donated another 50,000 face masks on March 26 to its sister cities of Nashville in France, Hauau in Germany, and Kielce in Poland as the COVID-19 epidemic becomes increasingly severe throughout Europe.

To date, the city has donated medical supplies to more than 10 sister cities in seven countries including Japan, Korea, Germany, France, Poland, Britain, and Italy.

All patients diagnosed with COVID-19 in Taizhou had recovered and been discharged from hospitals as of March 11. The city had reported 146 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of Feb 15, but has since seen no new cases.
