By virtue of unspoiled natural views, islands in Taizhou captivate countless visitors every year. The following are the most highly recommended ones:

Dachen Island

Dubbed "a pearl of the East China Sea", Dachen Island, located 52 kilometers from the urban area of Taizhou, is comprised of 29 small islets and occupies an area of 14.6 square kilometers.

Visitors to the island are able to see magnificent marine erosion landforms, the mysterious religious temple of the sea god, and rare sea plant landscapes.

Dongji Island

Dongji Island is located in the eastern part of the coastal town of Shangpan in Linhai, adjacent to Taizhou bay.

Clear waters and blue skies make it a natural beach resort and a perfect spot to watch the sunrise.

It is also a wonderful place to walk a beach paved with cobblestone.

Dalu Island

Dalu Island, six miles from the port of Kanmen in Yuhuan, consists mostly of forests.

Its name originates from the ancient legend of a divine deer in heaven. The deer was dropped into the East China Sea and transformed into a deer-shaped island after it stole some fairy fruit.

Animal sculptures carved from coastal stones are something visitors shouldn't miss on the island.
