Dashiji Forest Farm, located in Huangyan district, Taizhou, has an average elevation of 900 meters, with its highest peak 1,295 meters above sea level.

The farm covers an area of 24,953 mu (1,663.5 hectares) and has an afforestation rate of more than 98 percent. Its "ecological public welfare" forest covers an area of 24,210 mu, accounting for 97 percent of the entire forest farm.

In 2017, a large number of trees were planted on the farm, which after another five to six years of growth, will make the forest even more spectacular.

There are more than 30 scenic spots on the farm, including a viewing platform, a pavilion, and a stilted walkway. Tourists can pick tea leaves and explore the forest.

Known as an "oxygen bar" in Taizhou, the forest was selected as one of the most popular summer resorts in Zhejiang province in July 2019.

The forest farm was also recently designated as Taizhou’s only provincial forest rehabilitation center.

A provincial forest rehabilitation center must have an afforestation rate of above 70 percent, and the air quality must meet national standards on more than 90 percent of days every year.

In addition, the average number of negative oxygen ions in the air in the core area must be at least 2,000/cm³.

Also, the environmental noise quality must be at grade I or above, which is considered an acoustic environment for working, living, and studying, while the quality of surface water must be at grade II or above.
