Official data shows that the glasses industry yields more than four billion yuan in revenue in Linhai, with products selling to over 50 countries and regions across the world.
Duqiao town in the city accommodates more than 600 glasses companies with roughly 60,000 employees. The town also houses 2,000 online glasses sellers, with a total transaction volume last year accounting for 37.67 percent of the national total in the sector.
