Tang tri-colored glazed pottery exhibition kicks off in Taizhou

An exhibition featuring tri-colored glazed pottery from the Tang Dynasty kicked off in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province on Sept 12.

A total of 106 pieces of tri-colored glazed pottery, including ceramic figurines and utensils unearthed from Luoyang, Henan province, will be displayed at the Taizhou museum until Dec 19.

The three-colored, or "Sancai", pottery is a famous type of Chinese pottery, made using glaze.

Tang tri-colored glazed pottery can be made into a vast array of items – from architectural models to kitchenware to any variety of toys. They display the vibrant social life and splendid culture of the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
