Xuanmenwan Wetland Park has become a haven for rare birds thanks to the noble efforts made by local government in preserving the ecosystem.

The park, situated in Yuhuan city of Taizhou, recently welcomed a flock of black-winged stilts.

The black-winged stilt can be recognized by its black wings, black bill, and long red legs.

In 2013, the bird was included in the International Union for Conservation of Nature's Red List of Threatened Species.
