Taizhou ramps up efforts in luring college students

Taizhou has ratcheted up efforts in attracting more college graduates to work in the city.

According to the government document released recently, collage students working in the city shall be entitled to numerous preferential policies such as subsidies for job seeking, house purchasing and renting as well as starting up business.

The document stipulates that college students who have landed first job in Taizhou and have been included in local social secutrity system for over half a year will still be able to apply for a subsidy of up to 250,000 yuan ($37,313.4) in accordance with different level of education or titles when purchasing properties within five years.

The city, for the first time, broaden the scope of recipients of house rental subsidies.

In addition to an annual subsidy of 12,000 yuan for doctoral students, full-time postgraduates, undergraduates, technicians and technical secondary school graduates will also receive annual subsidies of 9,600 yuan, 6,000 yuan and 6,000 yuan respectively.

Taizhou also issued policies in terms of recruitment for the first time.

Enterprises that organize recruitment activities in Taizhou shall be given a maximum of 3,500 yuan in subsidy, while a subsidy of up to 1,000 yuan will be given to graduates who are invited to participate in recruitment activities in the city.
